After years of writing my own scripts, I find that WordPress has it all bundled up in a nice tidy package. There may be some shortcomings to WordPress, but so far, I haven’t found anything that I couldn’t write around.

I’ve even written some snippets for WordPress to donate back to the community.

One of them is my Bindex script which creates a blog index for WordPress. Why would I want to do that, you ask? Well, a client had lots of posts in many categories, and they couldn’t be easily found. So, I wrote a script that would display the newest post in each category instead of that list of newest posts that is the default for WordPress.

It also put a link to each category, that displays a category page, and a link to read that newest post directly, by itself.

New Script Store

I’m currently working on my script store (another script) so users can download my scripts, or even have me install them — for a fee. I’m hoping to have this done and done by the beginning of the new year.
